The UNM Alumni Association is inviting graduates from the Class of 1967 to the Golden Graduates and Heritage Club Weekend with activities on Friday and Saturday, May 12 -13.
Fellow Lobos, friends and classmates will come together to celebrate the Golden Graduates of 1967 and Heritage Club members—alumni who have graduated 50 or more years ago—for two days of events, including participating in the UNM’s Spring 2017 Commencement.
Friday, May 12 at Hodgin Hall Alumni Center:
- 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Open house and robe fitting
- 10–11 a.m.: Campus walking tour
- 5–6 p.m.: Golden Grad and Heritage Club Reception
- 6 p.m.: Heritage Club Dinner
Saturday, May 13, at WisePies Arena aka The Pit:
- 8:15 a.m.: Arrive to participate in the UNM Spring 2017 Commencement Ceremony
Golden Grads are asked to the Alumni website to complete a simple questionnaire to help build the Class of 1967’s Memory Book.
The UNM Alumni Association has also reserved rooms at multiple hotels with special room rates for Golden Grads and Heritage Club members traveling to Albuquerque for the weekend’s festivities. Booking details and rates can also be found on the Alumni website.
Friday’s festivities are meant to reignite Lobo spirit as Golden Grads are invited to Hodgin Hall Alumni Center, located on UNM’s main campus, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to enjoy coffee, tea and treats while being fitted for a golden robe and mortar board for Saturday’s Commencement ceremony.
Golden Graduates and Heritage Club members are invited to a reception at Hodgin Hall Alumni Center from 5–6 p.m. Friday, followed by the Heritage Club Dinner at 6 p.m.
At the dinner, Heritage Club members will be honored and the 1967 graduates will be inducted. Tickets are $30 per person and can be reserved by visiting the Alumni website or by calling 505-277-5808.
On Saturday, Golden Graduates kick-off the 2017 UNM Commencement with a procession—inspiring the next generation of UNM graduates.
