Bowl Bound
New Mexico returns to a bowl for the first time in eight years.

In celebration of the New Mexico Lobos taking on the Arizona Wildcats in the 10th annual Gildan New Mexico Bowl, the UNM Alumni Association, Athletic Department, Lobo Club and Alumni Lettermen are partnering to host a super fan fest tailgate for alumni, family, friends and the community beginning Saturday, Dec. 19 at at 9 a.m.

The tailgate takes place in the North 4 Fanfest Lot at University Stadium – look for the big white tent. The New Mexico Bowl kicks off at noon at University Stadium.

Dress in your best cherry and silver, and join the festivities Saturday morning for breakfast burritos, coffee, hot chocolate, live entertainment, games, prizes and more. This is a great opportunity to really get in the Lobo spirit with your fellow New Mexico super fans before the big bowl game.

Arizona makes its second appearance in the Albuquerque-based bowl game, having won 49-48 in the 2012 game against Nevada. It is the third appearance for New Mexico, having lost the inaugural New Mexico Bowl to San Jose State in 2006 and won the 2007 game over Nevada.

Tickets for the Gildan New Mexico Bowl are $25 to $40, depending on seating, and can be purchased by visiting or calling (505) 925-LOBO or (505) 925-5999. Tailgating is free and open to the public.

The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN and ESPN Radio.
