The University of New Mexico winter break is set for Friday, Dec. 21 through Wednesday, Jan. 1. Many departments on campus will be closed or have abbreviated hours throughout this time. Check the hours of the office you plan to visit.

Below is a list of hours for some key areas and departments around campus.

Information Technologies: IT computer labs will be closed from Dec. 21 through Jan 1. Spring Semester IT Pod and Computer Classroom hours will begin Jan. 14.  For IT-related issues, emergencies or outages, call (505) 277-5757 and leave a message.

Zimmerman Library: Will be closed Dec. 21 through Jan. 1. Regular Spring Semester Hours will begin on Jan. 14.

Centennial Science & Engineering Library and Fine Arts and Design Library: Will be closed Dec. 21 through Jan. 1. Regular Spring Semester Hours will begin on Jan. 14.

The Health Sciences Library & Informatics Center: On Dec. 20 they will be open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. They will be closed from Dec. 21 through Jan. 1. They will resume regular hours on Jan. 2.

The Student Union Building: They will be closed Dec. 21 through Jan. 1. The SUB will reopen on Jan 2.

The UNM Bookstore: Will be open Dec. 17 through Dec. 19 from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Dec. 20 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. They will be closed Dec. 21 through Jan. 1.

The Medical Legal Bookstore: Will be open Dec 17. through Dec. 20 from 8 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. They will be closed from Dec 21 through Jan 1.

The Lobo Den: Will be open on Dec. 18 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., Dec. 19 from 12 from 9 p.m., Dec 20 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Dec. 22 from 12:30 to 4 p.m.

In addition, there will be parking-related closures during winter break.

UNM’s Parking and Transportation Services (PATS) is temporarily closing South Lot (Stadium East) over the winter beak. The closure will be effective Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. through Jan. 13. South Lot will reopen on Jan. 14 at 6:30 a.m.

South Lot permits will be honored in Q lot only during the closure. Consequently, South Lot shuttle service will be suspended from Dec 17. through Jan 11.

Shuttle service to Lobo Village and the Student Support Services Center (SSSC) will operate on a combined route starting Dec. 17 through Dec. 20, and again from Jan. 2 through Jan. 11. During Intersession, shuttles will depart from the Yale Mall and Research/SSSC bus stops every 20 minutes, and will depart from the Lobo Village bus stop every 40 minutes. Shuttle service on the combined route will operate from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday.

There will not be Night Bus shuttle service from Dec. 14 through Jan. 11. There will also be no shuttle service from Dec. 21 through Jan. 1, due to the University closure for winter break.

Regular shuttle service on all routes will resume at 6:30 a.m. on Jan. 14 with the start of the spring semester.
