A special support show for the Holocaust art exhibition, Through a Narrow Window: Friedl Dicker-Brandeis and Her Terezín Students, will be held Jan. 18 - March 11. A special opening reception will also be held Friday, Jan. 21 from 5 to 7 p.m. Both events will be held at the Masley Art Gallery.
Friedl Dicker-Brandeis studied at the Bauhaus during its beginning years. Her education and artistic practices influenced her teaching of art to children in the Nazi's "model" concentration camp of Terezin.
This exhibition is a companion to the UNM Art Museum's upcoming exhibition "Through A Narrow Window: Friedl Dicker-Brandeis and Her Terezin Students", opening Jan. 28, which highlights original works by Dicker-Brandeis and children and youth in Terezin.
Masley Gallery is located in Masley Hall. Gallery hours are Monday - Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
