UNM Art Museum is welcoming a new exhibit that features student artwork titled “Emergent 2019: New Student Videos from UNM” from May 8 through June 15. Opening reception is May 9 from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Emergent 2019: New Student Videos from UNM is the UNMAM’s first exhibition of experimental student videos and features work by eleven students representing UNM programs in Art and Ecology, Experimental Art and Technology, Photography, and Sculpture.

This event is curated by Mary Statzer. Statzer is the curator of Prints and Photographs at the UNM Art Museum.

Emergent 2019: New Student Videos from UNM features work by Chelsea Alvarez, Viola Arduini, Hazel Batrezchavez, Ragini Bhow, Erin Gould and Jessica Zeglin, Nicholas B. Jacobsen, Dylan McLaughlin, Zac Travis, Amy Traylor and Martin Wannam.

The UNM Art Museum is located within the Center of the Arts complex off Redondo Drive near the UNM Bookstore. Parking is available at the Cornell Parking Garage.

UNM Art Museum is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. for 4 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Admission is free and open to the public; however, a $5 donation is suggested to support exhibitions.
