The UNM Bookstore, in partnership with the UNM Police Department and the Law Enforcement Affairs Division of Winner International have collaborated to offer three simple, inexpensive devices to help members of the UNM community protect their cars, motorcycles and bicycles.
All devices from Winner International, the original creator of The Club® are being sold below regular retail prices to support recent safety initiatives at UNM and to help in the reduction and prevention of auto theft and bicycle theft crimes on campus.
The Club Twin Hook Steering Wheel Lock and the Club Compact Bike/Utility Lock are both being sold for $17.99. The larger Club Bike/Utility Lock is being sold for $22.99
The Law Enforcement Affairs Division of Winner International has served and assisted in many successful police and community auto theft prevention initiatives throughout the U.S. and Canada. These theft-prevention programs focus on the effectiveness of public proactivity and the use of visible deterrents such as the Club® in the battle against vehicle theft.
The Auto Theft Task Force Club®, which is now available at the UNM Bookstore, is manufactured exclusively for law enforcement and community use in these education and prevention programs. The yellow vinyl covered lock is highly visible due to its bright color.
Members of UNMPD will be on hand Friday, Nov. 30 from noon–2 p.m. during the Bookstore’s annual Holiday Sales Event, to demonstrate how to use the anti-theft devices.
The UNM Bookstore is located at 2301 Central Ave. NE at the intersection of Cornell and Central.
