The UNM Bookstores (both Main Campus and Medical Legal locations) are celebrating the season with a Shiny Happy Holidays event on Friday, Dec. 2 and offering 30 percent off all day long on imprinted Lobowear, gift items and supplies, as well as 25 percent off all calendars and planners, holiday books, plush, cards and giftwrap.
In addition, each Shiny Happy hour during the day there will be a different group of door busters at 50 percent off that will be announced on Facebook.
Grab something warm to drink and sweet to eat with complimentary refreshments provided by Satellite Coffee. At the Main Campus location, from 12 to 2 p.m. only, there will be some extra special activities:
- Get a commemorative picture taken with Lobo Louie at a free photo booth
- Jana Fothergill, the Official UNM Ornament Artist, will be in house to personalize this year’s ornament which memorializes the Maxwell Museum
- UNM Press authors Nasario Garcia, Lynn Miller, Holly Barnet Sanchez, Kwong Lee and local favorite Robert Julian will be on hand to sign their latest books
There will be free giftwrapping and an exclusive free gift with the purchase of any Mac as well as live music from the Lobo Men’s Choir at 3 p.m.
The Hanging of the Greens will begin outside of the UNM Bookstore at 5:45 p.m. to keep the festivities going!
UNM Faculty and Staff will receive a special invitation in the mail that has an offer just for you, so be sure and bring that invitation with you when you visit the store and join in the fun this year.
