The UNM Global Education Office (GEO) hosts an international experience on April 12 with the 2018 International Festival.

Delivering on the promise of bringing international education to UNM, this special event includes musical performances, cultural art and crafts, and food from countries represented by UNM students and communities.

GEO is inviting all Lobos and the Albuquerque community to celebrate the culture and diversity of UNM’s international student community from over 90 different countries.

A few of this year’s performances include Mexican dance by Ivonne Acosta, Tinikling—traditional Filipino dance with bamboo sticks—by Krystal Limalima, Balkan dance by Goddess of Arno and the Chinese dragon dance. While enjoying the performances, attendees are encouraged try the food and beverages provided at booths by international student groups and community organizations.

This free event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at UNM’s Cornell Mall—right in front of the Student Union Building.

The International Festival is sponsored by the UNM Global Education Office. Learn more at geo.unm.edu or on Facebook at UNMglobal.
