The University of New Mexico Dean of Students Office and Health Sciences Center will hold Campus Safety Walks Tuesday, Nov. 15 from 7 - 8:30 p.m. on Main and North campuses. Those interested in participating should report to the Student Union Building, Ballroom C, at 7 p.m. for instructions.
Campus safety walks are held twice a year during the fall and spring semesters. Participants walk around campus in teams to identify potential issues such as campus lighting, emergency phones, landscape hazards and other safety concerns.
Interim Dean of Students Kim Kloeppel said, "Safety walks are a good way to address concerns. They also serve as a reminder to students, staff and visitors to be aware of their surroundings on campus."
