Reunion celebrates UNM's affiliation with Lucile Packard Children's Hospital
The UNM Children's Hospital Heart Center is celebrating its affiliation with the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford Medical Center on Saturday, Oct. 2, with a family reunion for pediatric patients and their families who have received care from both institutions' cardiology teams and Lucile Packard's Cardiothoracic surgical team.
The reunion, to be held at the Explora Science Museum from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., will reunite doctors and nurses from both hospitals with patients and their families.
Since November 2003, the UNM Children's Hospital Heart Center has worked with the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital to provide quality care for New Mexico's pediatric patients with congenital heart disease.
The collaboration has proven to be a success with 160 patients seen through 200 surgeries.
