The North Golf Course Advisory Committee is inviting anyone interested in proposed changes to the UNM North Golf Course landscaping and trail to an open house on Wednesday, June 26, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
“We wanted to assure that everyone who is interested in this project has an opportunity to view the preliminary designs and to ask questions,” said UNM Institutional Support Services Strategic Planner Lisa Marbury.
The design team, Sites Southwest, will be available to discuss proposed changes and answer any questions about the construction.
The trail around the course is designed to comply with National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) requirements from cross country conference and championship events. The current plan is to close the North Golf Course at the end of November and complete the trail construction over the winter. The course is projected to reopen in February.
The North Campus Neighborhood Association will supply ice cream and water for the open house.
