The UNM Global Education Office (GEO) is seeking applicants to participate in the 2016 International Festival scheduled to take place on Thursday, April 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on UNM’s Cornell Mall—east of the Student Union Building.

GEO is seeking participation from informational groups, food vendors, arts and crafts vendors, and music and artistic performers. Applications can be submitted online through Friday, April 1.

UNM is home to international students and scholars from over 99 countries. Typically, many of the international students and scholars wear their traditional clothing at the festival, while many other students will prepare and vend small plates of food to provide a taste of their culture. With more than 1,000 people in attendance each year, the festival is an opportunity to highlight the UNM-local global community and inspire greater cross-cultural awareness and understanding.

The International Festival is sponsored by the UNM Global Education Office.
