UNM fraternities and sororities coming together to raise money for the Special Olympics of New Mexico.

The annual UNM Greek Week runs from Feb. 22 to 29 and includes events like Greek Sing, Trivia Night and Greek Games. Every spring semester, more than 20 sorority and fraternity organizations gather in the name of service, friendly competition, fun and achievement. Each year the Greeks sponsor a different philanthropy, and last year raised over $20,000 for the UNM Food Pantry.

“Our Greek life communities bring vibrance to our campus through their commitment to giving back,” said Ryan Lindquist, director of the UNM Student Activities Center. “Greek Week is not only a way to engage the community in friendly rivalry, but also to raise awareness of the incredible work being done by the Special Olympics of New Mexico.”

Students, faculty and staff can contribute to the cause by donating money at the SUB food venues all week. Please support our Fraternity and Sorority community as they support our New Mexico community. In addition, all are welcome to attend, watch and cheer on the Greeks during events.
