The University of New Mexico hosts "It Begins with Me," the 2nd Annual Gray-Torres Conference on Interpersonal Violence Monday, April 16 from 9:45 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Student Union building, ballroom B.

Following is the conference agenda:

  • The keynote, "Response Ability Project: Empowering People to Intervene In Problem Situations and Be an Every Day Hero" 

  • How to deal with conflict in personal relationships

  • Bystander training with the Rape Crisis Center

  • Poetry and fiction readings with locally and nationally known authors

  • A free screening of "Telling Amy's Story," a documentary about domestic violence, sponsored by Verizon Wireless

  • Free pizza and snacks
