The University of New Mexico Global Education Office hosts a candlelight vigil on Thursday, Dec. 18 at 6 p.m. in front of the Center of the Arts on the UNM campus. The vigil is held in memory of the 145 lives lost during a devastating attack by terrorists on a school in Peshawar, Pakistan. Most of the victims were children.

Mary Anne Saunders, special assistant to the president for global initiatives, said, "We are hosting this memorial for these innocent victims in support of our Pakistani students and faculty who are grieving this tragedy along with the UNM community."

UNM encourages interested community members to attend the vigil.
