Three finalists will interview on campus this week for the position of interim Provost/Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs at the University of New Mexico. They are Antoinette Sedillo Lopez, Chaouki T. Abdallah and James W. Linnell.

There will be a public forum for each of the candidates Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, April 26 – 28, at 9:30 a.m. in the SUB Theatre. Each forum, which invites participation of faculty, students and staff, will last approximately two hours. The forum schedule is as follows:
Tuesday, April 26
Antoinette Sedillo Lopez, professor of Law, UNM School of Law.
Wednesday, April 27
Chaouki T. Abdallah, professor and chair, Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, UNM School of Engineering.
Thursday, April 28
James W. Linnell, interim dean, College of Fine Arts, and professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance.
The interim provost will take office this summer and is expected to serve a term of approximately two years. Following the public forums and other parts of the interview process, the search committee will meet to formulate its recommendation to President David Schmidly.
All members of the UNM community are encouraged to provide feedback to the search committee. An online feedback form will be available from April 28-May 2 once candidate forums have concluded.
