The University of New Mexico was recently cited as one of 121 colleges The Princeton Review recommends in the "Best of the West" section of its website feature, "2012 Best Colleges: Region by Region."
UNM was chosen from hundreds of institutions reviewed across four locales: the Northeast, the Southeast, the Midwest and the West, rated primarily for excellent academic programs. Also taken into account were student responses to a survey regarding accessibility of professors, the state of classrooms, dorms and food, and describing the campus social scene.
"Our ‘regional best' colleges constitute only 25 percent of the nation's four-year colleges, a select group indeed," said Senior Vice President, Robert Franek. "We believe our choices offer applicants and their parents a wide range of fine schools to consider."
The feature is posted at The Princeton Review.
