UNM Parking and Transportation Services (PATS) is advising the campus community of several activities that will impact parking and traffic in the coming weeks.
Heavy Traffic
Expect heavy traffic on main campus this weekend due to Commencement and Convocation Ceremonies. Multiple graduation convocations begin Thursday, May 11 and will continue through Saturday, May 13.
Click here for a full list of convocation ceremonies. Expect high traffic volumes on and around campus during these times and plan ahead. Allow extra time to accommodate for travel and parking. Additional parking is available in the Cornell and Yale parking structures. Regular hourly parking rates or event fees may apply.
Summer semester parking enforcement
PATS is also reminding customers that summer enforcement hours begin on Monday, May 15, 2017. The summer hours of parking enforcement on campus are as follows:
- Monday-Thursday: 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Friday: 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Please be aware of the areas and parking spaces on campus that are subject to enforcement 24/7. They include, but are not limited to the following:
- R, S, and GR permitted spaces (the resident lots and the Lomas parking structure)
- Any/all pay stations on campus (Yale and Cornell parking structures and in the surface lots)
- Any parking space and/or area otherwise restricted by signage (e.g. fire lane, no parking, Reserved and handicapped spaces)
“M” Lot maintainance
