The UNM Office of Assessment hosts the second annual UNM Institutional Assessment Day (IAD). IAD is a university-wide initiative to receive feedback and gather information from undergraduate students about how well the University is doing in ensuring that their academic experiences are positive.

IAD provides an opportunity for students to share their voices by taking satisfaction surveys online from various administrative academic student support units that help answer questions such as: What is UNM doing well? What can be changed at UNM to make it more efficient and effective?

Also, preselected undergraduate students will have the opportunity to receive individualize performance scores about how well they are learning compared to their peers and other institutions by completing institutional student outcome assessments that measure the development of their Core general education knowledge and workforce skills.

Institutional Assessment Days are scheduled university-wide during the month of October on the following dates:

  • UNM-Main and UNM-Valencia – Oct. 18-19
  • UNM-Taos – Oct. 19-20
  • UNM-Los Alamos – Oct. 25-26
  • UNM-Gallup – Oct. 24-25

All University faculty, staff, and student organizations are asked to encourage undergraduate students to participate during IAD. Students who complete at least three surveys online and/or one or more institutional assessments during an IAD will receive a UNM T-shirt and other free perks. Participants may also be entered into a drawing for additional prizes.
