The University of New Mexico School of Medicine celebrates the Class of 2015 with Match Day Friday, March 20 at the UNM Student Union Ballrooms at 10 a.m. when fourth-year medical students learn where they will do their internships and residencies.

The event is celebrated annually on the third Friday in March as all fourth year medical students from across the country (approximately 155 medical schools in the U.S.) learn where they will do their internships and residencies at the same time (1 p.m. EST) when the results of the National Resident Matching Program are announced.

In the Match system, applicants are contractually obligated to go to the residency, internship or fellowship program at the institution to which they were matched. The same applies to the programs; they are obligated to take the applicants who matched into them

Student attendance is optional. Notify the Office of Medical Student Affairs at (505) 272-3414 if you will not be attending. Parking is available at the UNM Cornell Parking Structure for $1.75/hour.  The event usually lasts two hours. For more, visit UNM Parking locations.
