UNM main campus services during period of limited operations

The University of New Mexico is taking several safety precautions to help combat the spread of COVID-19, commonly known as coronavirus.

Academic courses are transitioning to remote instruction to the fullest extent possible. Look for direct communication from faculty instructors on how individual courses are being transitioned.

Limited operations will continue through Monday, June 1.

A list of important student services and hours of limited operations are listed below:

Accessibility Resource Center
ARC staff is working remotely Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Accommodations specialist are available remotely through email, Zoom and telephone.  Signed language interpreters are working as needed and preparing for online classes. 

All services and accommodations are available for students with disabilities already registered with ARC.

Children's Campus
The Children’s Campus will be closed for families through the end of May.

Restricted Access beginning Thursday, March 19.

Only authorized UNM employees, who need to work within to continue operations online, will have access to Johnson Center.

LGBTQ Resource Center
The LGBTQ Resource Center is providing 30-minute advocacy sessions with professional staff as requested. 

Additionally, program staff is working remotely Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

As online programming continues throughout the semester, the resource center will post information to its Facebook page.

Lobo Food Pantry
The Lobo Food Pantry is ONLY hosting drive-up or walk-up services for students.

Drive-up and walk-up services are being offered every Monday from 1:30 p.m., until supplies run out.

Students can pick up pre-made bags or boxes of groceries at the loading dock on the Northeast corner of the Student Advising and Enrichment Center (the same building where the campus pantry is housed).

LoboRESPECT Advocacy Center

Parking & Transportation Services
PATS is making temporary changes in its business, parking, shuttle and enforcement operations. As this is a very fluid situation, please be sure to check PATS website.

Parking and Transportation Services operations and normal service hours are expected to resume on Monday, June 1. Right now, online services like managing your parking account and appealing a citation are available.

Planning, Design & Construction
Effective Tuesday, March 17, UNM Planning, Design & Construction project management staff will begin working remotely on key projects to ensure they stay on track to the greatest extent possible.  Please note that the direction is highly dependent upon our external consultants and contractors.

If you have specific questions about a current PDC project, please reach out to the project manager or to Maria Dion, Group Manager.

PDC staff will be available intermittently Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Student Union Building 
Due to the current health crisis and the University's guidance to implement limited operations, the UNM Student Union will have restricted access until further notice.

University Libraries
Restricted Access through Monday, June 1.

Zimmerman Library, Centennial Science and Engineering Library, the Fine Arts and Design Library and the Parish Memorial Library buildings are closed to the public until further notice. Many services online are still available online.

UNM Bookstores
The Bookstore on main campus and UNM's Medical Legal Bookstore are closed until further notice.

Online web orders placed during this time will be processed and shipped daily.

UNM Golf Courses
The UNM Championship Golf Course and the UNM North Golf Course will open Saturday, May 2 with limited operations, following new guidelines issued by the New Mexico Department of health. 

University golf courses will be following best practices for golf course operations under the current COVID-19 conditions. Golfers should be aware that not all services will be available and should expect to follow new safety precautions while at our facilities.
