From college casual to business professional, Career Services is partnering with JCPenney to host a special event for UNM students.
“College Suit Up” is an exclusive event created to help students and alums afford professional clothing for jobs and networking.
The event is Sunday, Aug. 27 from 6:30 to 10 p.m. at JCPenney’s Coronado Center store at 6600 Menaul Blvd. NE.
The private event is only open to UNM students, alumni, faculty and staff who will be given an extra 40 percent discount on select men’s and women’s career and dress apparel and shoes. Shoppers will need to show a UNM ID upon entry or printed email from the UNM Alumni Association. Alums can also email autumnc@unm.edu for an email invitation.
“Finding career clothes can be a daunting and expensive task,” says Director of UNM Career Services Jenna Crabb. “With the fall recruiting season right around the corner, this is a great opportunity for our students to have a competitive edge in building their professional wardrobe.”
Bryan Stacy, a UNM sophomore and New Student Orientation leader is planning on attending.
“Suit Up is the perfect opportunity for students to jump start their professional lives without financial stress,” said Stacy.
UNM Career Services assists students, faculty, staff, and alumni in developing, evaluating, and/or implementing career, education, and employment decisions.
