From college casual to business professional, Career Services is partnering with JCPenney to host a special event for UNM students, alumni, faculty and staff.
“College Suit Up” is an exclusive event created to help students and alums afford professional clothing for jobs and networking.
The Suit Up event on Sunday, March 4 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at its Albuquerque Coronado Center store location.
Jenna Crabb, director of UNM Career Services, is proud to be part of an event which will provide Lobos with a jump start on making a good impression while keeping a little more money in their pockets.
“Finding career clothes can be a daunting and expensive task,” Crabb says. “If you just graduated in December, are graduating in spring or applying to internships, this is a great opportunity for our students to have a competitive edge in building their professional wardrobe.”
The event is only open to UNM students, alumni, faculty and staff and will offer an extra 40 percent discount on select men’s and women’s career and dress apparel and shoes. Shoppers will need to show their UNM ID upon entry. Alumni will need to show the email sent to them from UNM Alumni Relations Office.
“This past fall, we hosted this event and it was a huge success—we had over 500 Lobos attend,” said Crabb. “I encourage everyone to come out, shop and gain that competitive edge in building your professional wardrobe.”
UNM Career Services assists students, faculty, staff and alumni in developing, evaluating, and/or implementing career, education, and employment decisions.
