The sixth annual UNM Technology Business Plan Competition will take place at the Anderson School of Management on Friday, April 8. Student-run, high-tech startup firms will present their plans to professionals beginning at 9 a.m.

Morning round presentations are scheduled from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Teams that advance to the finals will present again from 2 to 5 p.m. The presentations will be held in the classrooms on the south side of the Anderson School building on the UNM Campus. The public is invited to attend and admission is free.

The UNM Technology Business Plan Competition is designed to encourage UNM students to collaborate on teams that commercialize technology products developed at UNM, Sandia National Labs, Los Alamos National Lab, and elsewhere. These student-owned startup firms bring inventions from lab to market and boost economic development in New Mexico.

Teams are competing for the first place Lockheed Martin / TVC / Sandia National Labs $25,000 Prize. The PNM Prize of $10,000 will go to the second place finishers and third place is the $5,000 City of Albuquerque Prize. Other valued sponsors of the competition include:
