The University of New Mexico joins colleges and universities in recognizing the student workforce during National Student Employment Week April 15-21.
The National Student Employment Association (NSEA) is an organization of several hundred professionals involved with programs for college students who work. NSEA designates one week each year for universities and colleges across the country to recognize the substantial contributions of students who work on campus.
The UNM Graduation Task Force Student Engagement Committee, Office of the Provost, Student Union, Division of Enrollment Management and Vice President for the Office of Student Affairs invites you to celebrate the week's events with a carnival on Wednesday, April 17, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the SUB Atrium. Refreshments and entertainment will be provided for student workers and their supervisors. Enjoy some cotton candy and play some Nintendo Wii with your friends.
Also as part of the weeklong celebration, UNM will recognize the outstanding contributions and achievements of students who work while attending college. Students employed through the Student Employment Office have been nominated for the annual Student Employee of the Year award.
The nominees and the winner will be recognized on Thursday, April 18 from 12 to 1 p.m. The Student Employee of the Year Awards ceremony will recognize student quality of work, initiative, reliability, professionalism, uniqueness of contribution, community and campus service.
Come help recognize the excellent student employees of UNM and show your appreciation for all of their hard work.
