Linnan works with Home Care Assistance of Albuquerque, the leading non-medical senior home care provider in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Its mission is to provide older adults with a comprehensive alternative to uprooting their lifestyle due to health-related changes. 89 percent of seniors have said they prefer to age at home. Home Care Assistance caregivers and care supervisors offer around-the-clock or hourly care to allow clients to do just that.

In addition, working with geriatric patients provides Linnan with necessary experience in her field.

“It definitely gives me an insight into what it’s like working with hospice and those who are elderly,” said Linnan.

She decided to study nursing because of her desire and passion to help people.

Linnan grew up in Roswell, N.M., and chose UNM in order to experience a bigger city and a well-ranked nursing program. She enjoys the diversity that the campus offers.

Following graduation, she plans to stay in Albuquerque and work in one of the area’s hospitals, but she remains open to whatever the future holds.
