Moving up three spots from last year, The University of New Mexico’s Championship Golf Course jumped back into Golfweek’s top-15 campus golf courses with a new ranking of No. 15.

Course Manager, Adam Roybal, believes the UNM Championship Golf Course's improvement in standing is due to their continued dedication to customer service and the fact that it offers some of the best golfing conditions in the state.

“This is the highest ranking we have received from Golfweek since 2013,” said Roybal. “It is encouraging that our ranking continues to climb because we continuously work to improve our course conditions, food and beverage offerings and our customer service.”

Designed by Robert Lawrence, The Championship Golf Course is 7,248-yard, par 72 course that challenges golfers to reach the rolling greens. The Championship Golf Course originally opened in 1967 and instantly became one of the finest golfing facilities nationwide.

Since opening, the Championship Golf Course has become home to both, the men and women Lobo Golf Teams, First Tee chapter of Central New Mexico, and the host of numerous United States Golf Association tournaments.

The paradise-like climate of Albuquerque makes The Championship Golf Course at The University of New Mexico a perfect oasis for golf anytime of the year. For more information regarding the Championship Golf Course or to book a tee time, visit UNM Golf Courses or call 505-277-4653.
