The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) Chapter at The University of New Mexico announces the Elovated Honors Fest, an event recognizing and celebrating the remarkable achievements of honor students at UNM.

The fest is set to engage students in a lively atmosphere filled with music, food, and exciting prizes while spotlighting the myriad of opportunities that NSLS provides to students demonstrating academic excellence.

The event will be held Wednesday, Oct. 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the SUB Mall on UNM’s main campus. The event is free to all attendees.

The Elovated Honors Fest will feature the euphonious tunes of Elovated Roots, a New Mexico Reggae/Rock band celebrated for their use of music to "convey and deliver a message of love and compassion.” They will be performing live from 12 to 1 p.m., providing a vibrant backdrop to an event aimed at honoring and inspiring our accomplished students.

Attendees can also indulge in free pizza from Trail Rider Pizza of Cedar Crest, recently hailed as 2022’s ‘Best of the City’, available from 12 to 2 p.m., or while supplies last. The festivities don't stop there. Participants will have the chance to win a variety of prizes through a spin-the-wheel giveaway, running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., or until all prizes have been claimed.

NSLS, through the Elovated Honors Fest, aims not only to give due credit to UNM’s hardworking honor students but also to introduce them and the broader student body to the enriching opportunities available through the society. By creating an inclusive and energetic space where students can unwind and celebrate their achievements, NSLS aspires to shed light on the rewarding prospects it has to offer to those joining its ranks due to its commendable academic performances.

Join the NSLS at the Elovated Honors Fest for a day of celebration, music, and recognition of student excellence, and discover the empowerment, leadership, and success that NSLS cultivates among its members.

The NSLS is the nation's largest leadership honor society. Students are selected by their college for membership based on either academic standing or leadership potential. With 700+ chapters, the NSLS currently has 1,400,000 members nationwide.
