The University of New Mexico's Office of Career Services hosts the Public Service Career Showcase on Thursday, Nov. 1 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. in the SUB Ballrooms. The UNM Public Service Career Showcase is designed to facilitate the recruitment of the best and the brightest that New Mexico has to offer and to encourage job seekers to consider a career in public service - "Working for America."
The focus is on employment in federal, state, and municipal governments. The Office of Personal Management will also host a workshop from 10 - 11 a.m. on the day of this career fair in the Student Union Building. This workshop will show individuals interested in working for the federal government how to utilize USA JOBS effectively as well as provide best practices for navigating the federal job market.
Students from all the four-year universities and two-year community colleges are invited to attend. The showcase is open to UNM alumni and community members as well. Professional business attire is strongly recommended.We ask job seekers to come prepared, professionally dressed, and with plenty of copies of their resume.
