Across the country, universities are recognizing the perspective and vibrance brought to campus by international students.

International Education Week (IEW) is celebrated across the U.S. the week of Nov. 16 - 20. At the University of New Mexico, IEW is coordinated by the Global Education Office (GEO). As part of the celebration, students have the opportunity to learn more about International Opportunities after graduation.

On Nov. 17, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., students will hear from three speakers as part of International Education Week.

The speakers are as follows:

  • Laura Gritz, Diplomat in Resident US Department of State
  • Maria Goodfellow, Diversity Recruiter Peace Corps
  • Kiyoko Simmons, Fulbright Program Advisor UNM Honors College
  • Both graduate and undergraduate students are welcome to attend.
