Do you fancy yourself as one of UNM's brightest and most involved students? If so, the time has come to apply for UNM's 2010-11 "Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges" award.
Basic application requirements include:
• Applicant must be currently enrolled at UNM
• Applicant must have earned at least 60 college credits or be a graduate student in good academic standing
• Applicant must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
• Applicant must provide one letter of recommendation
Students may apply directly or be nominated by another individual. There is no application or recognition fee associated with the nomination. The application deadline is Friday, Dec. 3 at 5 p.m. All applications and letters must be received by Student Activities, room 1018, in the Student Union building. Applications are available from Student Activities or can be downloaded online at Who's Who.
UNM may nominate candidates for recognition. Nomination criteria include academic record, participation and leadership in academic and co-curricular activities, citizenship, service to the community or university and potential for future achievement.
Individuals who have previously received recognition in Who's Who and are seeking to be selected for a second year must exhibit a continued record of excellence and sufficient number of new or expanded accomplishments.
Recipients will be acknowledged Thursday, Feb. 17.
