The University of New Mexico hosts U.S. Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz in a regional forum on energy conversion and storage. Panelists and participants from universities and industry in New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Arizona and Texas, along with Sandia National Laboratories, Los Alamos National Laboratory and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory will explore key challenges for energy in the southwest and how to address them through public-private partnerships.

The Secretary will discuss the importance of regional innovation for the research and development of energy technologies to ensure U.S. competitiveness in the national and global marketplace.
