The ASUNM Community Experience sponsors the second annual "Battle of I-25," a week-long blood drive against intrastate rival New Mexico State, Monday-Friday, Feb. 2-6. TCE hosts an opening blood drive celebration Monday, Feb. 2 at 11 a.m. in UNM’s SUB Ballroom C.
ASUNM already hosts the largest blood drives on the campus, so the Battle of I-25 blood drive was another great tie-in.
Organizers contacted student groups campus-wide to take part in the event. UNM student organizations, including fraternities and sororities, will be on site during the week to help draw donors as the Lobos look to retain the title it won last year, 402 – 283 (units).
“Whether or not UNM perpetuates its win streak, the blood drive is a tremendous benefit for both campus communities,” organizers said. “With more participants, the Battle of I-25 blood drive could become a proud annual staple in campus life.”
