The Associated Students of the University of New Mexico hosts a series of student events as a part of the 'Paint the Town Cherry' Homecoming Week from Oct. 21 through Oct. 25.

On Monday, Oct. 21, ASUNM Lobo Spirit will be hosting tailgate games from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on the Student Union Building Mall. Immediately following the tailgate games, the UNM Marching Band will lead a parade to the President’s House where President Stokes will be hosting a s’more eating get together from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

On Tuesday, Oct. 22, in Smith Plaza, there will be a Game of Thrones Photo Booth from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. That night starting at 7 p.m., there will be a showing of Mean Girls at Johnson Gym’s Recreational Pool as a part of Movie in the Pool.

On Wednesday, Oct. 23, elections open for Homecoming court until 5 p.m. Undergraduate students are able to vote in the Student Union Building or online at my.unm.edu. From 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., there will be a Fall Fiesta Carnival on the SUB Mall. It will feature free inflatable games, cotton candy, hot chocolate, and music.

On Thursday, Oct. 24, Silent Lights is making its return back to campus from 8. to 11 p.m. in Smith Plaza. Silent Lights is an immersive silent disco featuring six DJs, interactive art and food trucks. Entry is free with a Lobo ID. Students are also allotted one guest per Lobo ID. Silent Lights is a collaboration between ASUNM Student Special Events, ASUNM Lobo Spirit and the University Communications and Marketing.

On Friday, Oct. 25, ASUNM Lobo Spirit will be hosting an All Sports Pep Rally in the SUB Atrium. At the pep rally, Lobo Spirit will announce the Homecoming Court.

On Saturday, Oct. 26, ASUNM Lobo Spirit will be crowning the Homecoming King and Queen at the UNM v. Hawai’i game which starts at 2 p.m. For tickets to the Homecoming Game, visit Football Tickets.
