CABQ Road Work

A “crack/seal” road repair project will begin on Saturday, Oct. 14 by the City of Albuquerque on select city-owned streets at The University of New Mexico’s Main Campus. The work will require intermittent street/lane closures on roads near the sorority/fraternity houses, UNM department buildings, private and non-profit businesses, parking lots, and a few private residences (see provided map).

The City requests all vehicles be moved from these streets before the project is scheduled to begin, and anticipates to complete this project in one day to minimize the impact on the University campus. They have scheduled Oct. 15 as a potential project day if needed, and timely completion is weather dependent.

Parking & Transportation Services (PATS) have agreed to allow city permit holders in this area to park at “T” lot on the southwest corner of Lomas and University Blvd. beginning Oct. 12 through the duration of the project. City workers will tow any vehicles parked on these streets beginning in the early morning hours on Oct. 14, and will be parked at UNM’s “T” lot. Access to University-owned parking lots and buildings will be limited in the project zone.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this project, please contact Stephen Woodall, with the COA Department of Municipal Development at swoodall@cabq.gov or at (505) 908-8249.
