The College of University Libraries and Learning Sciences (CULLS) announces two faculty members who have received promotion and tenure this year. Both faculty members have been promoted to associate professor.
Amy Jankowski, STEM librarian – Learning and Outreach Services
Amy Jankowski is the STEM librarian for the Biology, Earth and Planetary Sciences, and Geography & Environmental Studies Departments, as well as the Sustainability Studies Program. She conducts one-on-one research consultations with students, faculty, and staff; provides information literacy instruction for STEM courses; and serves in a leadership role for STEM collection management. Her scholarly interests include information literacy, library collections, and library professional development.
She holds a BA in Anthropology from the University of Illinois and an MLIS with a specialization in Archives and Records Management from Indiana University Bloomington. Before coming to UNM, Amy worked as the associate director of Library Services for San Diego Zoo Global (now the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance). In addition to reinforcing her fascination with plants and animals, Amy’s work with the San Diego Zoo strengthened her passion and curiosity for ecology, conservation biology, and sustainable practices. Her prior library and collections experience includes work in archives, special collections libraries, and museums.
Glenn Koelling, Learning Services coordinator – Learning and Outreach Services
Glenn Koelling has been with CULLS since fall of 2017 and is currently the College’s Learning Services coordinator. She also works with the English department as liaison. During her time here, she has helped develop and grow the library’s credit courses, worked with instructors to incorporate information literacy into their curriculum, and met with hundreds of students about their research. Outside of work, Koelling enjoys being outdoors. This year, she biked the Iron Horse Classic, which is 50 miles from Durango to Silverton and climbs 6000 feet over three mountain passes.
The College of University Libraries and Learning Sciences (CULLS) sends their congratulations to both Amy Jankowski and Glenn Koelling.
