The UNM Staff Environs Committee is sponsoring an electronic recycling and medical equipment re-use event on Saturday, Nov. 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the "R" parking lot near Girard and Central NE.

Electronic items such as computers, monitors, printers, keyboards, computer mice, copiers, fax machines phones, cell phones, rechargeable batteries, satellite television equipment, stereos and speakers are welcome. There is a $20 cash fee for cathode ray tube (CRT) or projection televisions.

Appliances such as coffee machines, bread machines, toasters, crock pots, hair dryers and alkaline batteries will not be accepted.

The Environs Committee will be working with Adelante to collect used medical equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, hospital beds, scooters, safety bars, transfer systems and lifts and other durable medical devices. The equipment will then be made available to members of the community in need.  For more information, visit: Adelante.
