Challenge your personal health and fitness in The University of New Mexico Employee Wellness’ 3rd annual Stadium Stair Challenge Saturday, April 28, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Walk, jog or run the University Stadium stairs with participants of all fitness levels.

Registration is open through Wednesday, April 25. Those who register before April 11 are eligible for a free shirt. There will be no registration on race day. The event, located at the Dreamstyle Stadium, is open to all UNM students, faculty, staff and public individuals.

Employee Wellness conducts performance nutrition and physical training sessions to assist UNM employees in performing to their personal best. This challenge brings the UNM and Albuquerque communities together to strive for a common goal. Additionally, all proceeds will go towards treadmill/bike workstations across UNM campus.

Each registered participant will receive a packet including BIB Number, timing tag, T-shirt, tote bags, coupons and more. A valid photo ID will be required to pick up entry packets on challenge day at the check-in table. Participants need to arrive 60 minutes before the event start time.

An optional training course is available for participants who want assistance reaching their max fitness potential. Classes will be held in March and April. Optional training dates are held on Tuesdays from 12 to 1 p.m. An official training schedule will be emailed once registration is completed.

For $80, participants have access to the six-week training course and a pass to compete in the Stadium Stair Challenge. This fee is tuition remission eligible, use promo code UNMTR when registering. If individuals sign up for only the challenge and not the training, the cost is not tuition remission eligible. Although discounts are applied for early registration. Prizes will be awarded in three categories: the overall male and female winner will receive a glass etched award; each male and female winner in their age group will receive a medal; and all participants will be eligible for raffle prizes including a round of golf, gym memberships, massages, trampoline park fun and much more.
