The UNM Office for Equity & Inclusion and the Rape Crisis Center of Central New Mexico present, "Men of Honor: Standing Together Against Violence," Friday, June 24, 1-3 p.m. at El Centro de la Raza's Conference Room.
This workshop, which is free and open to the public, explores themes of violence, racism and sexism, including a discussion on the negative portrayal of men of color in media. By understanding that violence is not inherent in men, we can examine ways in which men can be a part of the journey toward ending violence.
Lunch will be available beginning at noon; with training beginning at 1 p.m. Lunch and materials are free.
