University of New Mexico Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs James Holloway has announced the names of four finalists for the dean’s position at the School of Law.
The finalists include:
- Jason Czarnezki – the Gilbert and Sarah Kerlin distinguished professor of environmental law, and associate dean of environmental law programs and strategic initiatives at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University.
- Norman Bay – partner, Wilkie Farr & Gallagher LLP in Washington, D.C., co-chair of Energy and Commodities Group, and head of Energy Regulatory and Compliance Group.
- S. David Mitchell – Ruth L. Huston professor of law and associate dean for academic affairs and co-director of the Michael A. Middleton Center for Race, Citizenship and Justice at the University of Missouri.
- Camille Carey – professor of law, Karelitz chair in evidence and procedure and vice dean and associate dean for academic affairs at the University of New Mexico.
During their visits, each finalist will participate in open forums and meet with faculty, staff, students, community and alumni. The open forums begin Monday, Oct. 18 and concluding Friday, Oct. 29.
