The Geography Lecture Series presents "Resilience and Adaptive Management of Stressed Watersheds" with Dr. Craig Allen, professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln on Thursday, Nov. 11 at Dane Smith Hall, room 120 from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
The event's main focus will be on the Platte River and how research can inform management measures in other watersheds, which will hopefully lead to much needed policy change in water resources around the country.
Currently, Allen leads the Resilience and Adaptive Governance in Stressed Watersheds Ph.D. Research and Traineeship Program funded by the National Science Foundation IGERT Program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
