UNM faculty members are hosting a sneak peek of the Ken Burns documentary ‘Muhammad Ali’ along with an open discussion on race and health. The University of New Mexico is committed to creating opportunities for community and campus member to discuss and become educated on these important topics.
Join faculty member Jamal Martin, UNM associate vice chancellor of African American Health and Africana Studies, and others from the UNM Family and Community Medicine Department for a discussion on racism and health inequalities.
The conversation will start with a sneak peek of Ken Burns’ soon to be released Muhammad Ali documentary and shift into the important topic of race and health. The night will also include special guest Anna Marie Rondon, project director of the New Mexico Social Justice and Equity Institute and the McKinley Collaborative for Health Equity.
The documentary sneak peek and interactive discussion will take place on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
