James Lenhart will discuss and sign copies of his new book, Conversations for Paco, (Sleeping Giant Publishing) in the HSC Domenici Center lobby on UNM's north campus Friday, Oct. 21 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
The novel is an expose on love, lust, debauchery and greed. It unfolds when disease collides with healthcare profiteers and physician indifference. Inspired by a true account, Conversations for Paco, contrasts the venerable institutions of medicine against the personal anguish of mysterious disease.
Lenhart holds the distinction of Fellow in the American Academy of Family Physicians and in 2007 was named Nevada's outstanding family doctor. In addition to many years in the private practice of medicine, Lenhart has held academic positions as professor of Family Medicine at the University of Nevada and the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
