This week marks KNME's third in a series of partnerships with the community on the new project titled Public Square. This month, as part of New Mexico in Focus, KNME brings together community members from eastern New Mexico, for an impassioned and informed discussion about some of the biggest issues facing our children today.
New Mexico in Focus airs Fridays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 6:30 a.m. on KNME, Channel 5.1. The show can also be seen on KNME's Digital Channel 9.1 on Saturdays at 5 p.m. Note: There is no Sunday repeat Nov. 28.
The focus this time is on the challenges of rural health care, including the shortage of health care providers for the youth. After intense deliberation to determine needs and identify problems, these participants then team up with a guest panel of policy makers, business leaders and community organizers to work together to seek solutions.
• State Senator Stuart Ingle, (R) Portales
