This week on New Mexico in Focus, a look into a new monthly series, “Water Crisis in the West: Thinking Like a Watershed,” that kicked off last month and will run through June at the KiMo Theater in downtown Albuquerque. The show talks with Jack Loeffler, aural historian and author and author John Nichols, whose novels include story lines around water issues.

New Mexico in Focus airs Friday night at 7 p.m. on Channel 5.1 and appears online at NMiF shortly thereafter. The show rebroadcasts Saturday at 5 p.m. on Channel 9.1 and again on Sunday at 7 a.m. on Channel 5.1.

Also this week, producer Megan Kamerick sits down with author TaraShea Nesbit about her book, “The Wives of Los Alamos,” which explores the lives of women who accompanied their scientist husbands to “The Hill.” The Line opinion panel looks at legislation signed and vetoed by Gov. Susana Martinez and the group looks into the battle to land the $5 billion Tesla Motors factory in the state.
