Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs James Holloway has invited three finalists for the director of the Office of Institutional Analytics to present to campus in December.
The following candidates will hold open forums. Each will be held 1-2 p.m. at Jackson Student Center in the Anderson School of Management
Dec. 10: Valerie Martinez. Martinez is the director of reporting and analytics for the UNM Division of Enrollment Management, where she is a liaison for critical data submissions and inquiries, coordinating with state and federal agencies as well as national organizations. Before joining Enrollment Management, she was a programmer analyst in UNM’s Human Resources Information Technology and finance systems management departments, where she designed, implemented, and managed complex data integration and reporting processes. Martinez earned a bachelor of business administration systems degree and a master of business administration degree from UNM.
Dec. 13: Charla Orozco. Orozco is interim director of the Office of Institutional Analytics, where she leads a variety of data-informed initiatives, translating complex information into actionable insights for varied audiences. She has spent nearly a decade in higher education analytics and earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in a diverse blend of disciplines: cybersecurity, business analytics, Latin American studies, business administration and Spanish literature.
The Office of Institutional Analytics (OIA), based in the Office of Academic Affairs, is the official source for reporting and aggregated data at UNM. OIA generates reports and datasets for a variety of uses, including federal compliance reporting, state reporting, and internal recordkeeping and analytics, as well as the public both inside and outside UNM. OIA generates and maintains the official student enrollment reports, as well as aggregated information on faculty, staff and its branch campuses.
