Public television station New Mexico PBS (KNME and KNMD TV) has named Joan Rebecchi as director of Content. Rebecchi will oversee New Mexico PBS production, programming, scheduling, web site and social media and promotion of content across multiple platforms.
A multi-award winning station, New Mexico PBS is a joint-licensee of the University of New Mexico and Albuquerque Public Schools, and serves northern and central New Mexico, eastern Arizona and southern Colorado. Nationwide, the station is one of more than 360 independent television stations operating with the Public Broadcasting Service.
Rebecchi has more than 30 years experience in the broadcasting industry, including in marketing, communication, management, website and social media development, production, special events, advertising, content distribution and programming. She began her work at KNME in Albuquerque in 1986. Prior to working in public television, Rebecchi worked in commercial television and radio and was a publicist for Universal Pictures in Chicago, Ill.
