Author, T. Zane Reeves will be at the UNM Bookstore on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 12 p.m. to speak about and sign copies of "Shoes Along the Danube" (Strategic Book Group).
Shoes Along the Danube refers to the memorial of cast iron shoes that honor Hungarian Holocaust victims. Based on a true story, the book follows the lives of two extended Hungarian families, one gentile and the other Jewish, through three decades.
Reeves served in Brazil in the Peace Corps. He did his graduate work at UCLA and USC. He taught at Pepperdine, California State and Dominguez Hills before moving to the University of New Mexico, where he retired as Regents' Professor Emeritus in the Department of Public Administration. Reeves visits Hungary often, where he is a board member of the Julius Rezler Foundation in Budapest.
