For some employees, retirement seems a lifetime away. For others, it’s right around the corner. No matter where UNM employees fit on that spectrum, upcoming financial wellness workshops can help plan for a better future.

UNM Benefits and TIAA Consultants Julie Flores and Kevin Collins will be available to help assess financial goals at the workshops on Sept. 27 and 28 at noon. They can also provide strategies to better boost bank accounts, review investment options and teach ways to manage financial priorities.

Workshops are typically held in the UNM Business Center on Main Campus and HSLIC Library or Domenici on North Campus. Participants may register to attend in person or virtually. Employees can access sessions virtually via Skype and webinar from desktop, laptop, smart phone, and tablet in any location with wi-fi.

Topics are designed to help establish or improve upon healthy financial habits, overall financial literacy, investing and saving goals, and retirement income security.

Lunch is sometimes offered, but brown bags are welcome at all times.

The workshops are sponsored by UNM Division of Human Resources.
