The UNM School of Engineering hosts its annual Distinguished Alumni Award event on Nov. 7 to recognize the achievements of some of its outstanding graduates.

The award ceremony will be held at Sandia Resort and Casino and will be hosted by Donna Riley, Jim and Ellen King Dean of Engineering and Computing.

Cocktail hour begins at 5:30 p.m., with the ceremony and dinner beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Tables, single tickets and ads for the event program are available for purchase at goto.unm.edu/daatickets. RSVP deadline is Oct. 28, but Oct. 18 is the deadline for ad submissions to be included in the program.

In addition, the School will recognize the completion of its $50 million Our Time fundraising campaign that raised funds for the people and programs of the School.

Those scheduled to be in attendance include UNM President Garnett Stokes; Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs James Holloway; Brian Burnett, Our Time chair and alumnus; and officials from the UNM Foundation, including CEO and President Jeff Todd.

This year’s honorees are:

  • Alandren Etlantus, Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering
  • Junko Mondragon, Department of Computer Science
  • Victor Winter, Department of Computer Science
  • Chris Colson, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
  • Tim Thompson, Department of Mechanical Engineering
  • Sal Rodriguez, Department of Nuclear Engineering
  • Christina Salas, Young Alumni Award
